Limited flying and wing space precluded a realistic design, so the basic approach was to suggest locales with minimal set pieces, except for a large staircase in Scrooge's house, which was both physically and thematically a major focus of the production. Lighting played a major role in changes of locale and mood. We were fortunate to be able to use six Cyberlights to give us the lighting effects for ghost , dream sequences, and other supernatural events.
