The Summer Sizzler has been SUSPENDED for 1999

Do to safety concerns brought to light  during the 1998 race, we have decided not to hold the Sizzler this year.  If we can work out these safety issue by changing the present course we will do so.  If this is not practicable we will try to find a new location.  Sorry we had to do this, but your safety comes first with us.

PACKET PICK-UP: Saturday, June 20, 1998, 6:30 - 7:30a.m., Bethalto City Park
COURSE: Flat, fast, out and back run course over paved streets.Three water stops on the five mile course. Flat, fast bike course, out and back through the country. NO water stops on the bike course. Helmets required of all riders. Course will close 2 hour and 15 minutes after start of race. Participants are welcome to finish but there will be no support.
AWARDS: Top 3 overall male/female. Top 3 teams (No divisions).
Top 3 in Age Groups: Female 19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
Male 19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
ENTRY FEE: Biathlon, $18.00 if post-marked prior to June 10, 1998
Team Biathlon, $25.00 if post-marked prior to June 10, 1998
NO ENTRIES ACCEPTED AFTER JUNE 16, 1998. NO RACE DAY ENTRIES
