The preceding information was compiled by: Bob Paul, FSSNOC #840 (MD). An accurate Chem-Lab scale was used for all but the frame and motor. The base motorcycle was a 1978 Yamaha SR500. The real usefullness of this excerise may be to give a comparison of stock parts vs. aftermarket items prior to your spending the big bucks for that advertised weight savings. Interesting stuff!
