Write a paper on one of the following topics. Make sure you address
each part of the topic. For due date and length, see the syllabus.
Remember: a paper without arguments is like a house built on
quicksand.
1. Discuss what you take to be the the best argument for the claim that bivalence threatens freedom of the will.
2. Discuss the claim that the capacity to do otherwise than one does is essential to free will.
3. Suppose that God exists and has complete knowledge of what I'll do
tomorrow. Suppose also that freedom of the will consists in the ability
to do otherwise. Can, then, God justly punish me for my sins and
reward me for my good deeds?
