Professional Background
How long have you been at SIUE?
Including grad and undergrad, I have been here since August 2016. Professionally, I have worked here since the beginning of year 2022.
How did you get here?
From undergraduate experience, I was very involved on campus at SIUE – many campus organizations including my fraternity, Sigma Tau Gamma, being an orientation leader, and was a member of other various organizations on campus. I decided to be more interested in higher education and working with college students by being surrounded with great leaders on SIUE’s campus!
What are you most passionate about professionally?
Working with students – I love to give back to students and want every student to have just as great of an experience as I did.
What do you love most about working at SIUE?
I love the atmosphere and how easy it is to meet someone new on campus! The campus is beautiful and I also love the diversity and the shared desire for continued growth and improvement.
What are your primary duties in your current position?
To advise undergraduate students and assist them in choosing and declaring a major.
Personal Information
Where did you grow up?
I grew up on a small farm in Piasa, Illinois.
Any non-profits that you love?
Some philanthropic organizations that I personally hold close to me are the Saint Baldrick’s Foundation and Special Olympics – both are philanthropies that I supported heavily in undergrad and still today.
