Fall 2019

Leadership Lunches

This workshops series is open to all students and requires no RSVP, though free food is available in limited quantities. Each week, there is a new presenter and different topic. Presenters come from all walks of the SIUE community: faculty, staff, students, and community members. Students are encouraged to attend as many or few as their schedule allows.

We offer two mini-series as well. In October, for our Diversity Mini-Series, all 5 Leadership Lunches will relate back to topics of inclusion, justice, identity, and interpersonal connection. In March, all 3 Leadership Lunches will focus on topics related to and particularly pertinent for women. Students of all identities are still welcome to attend lunches during these mini-series.

During the fall semester, Leadership Lunches will be Wednesdays at 12pm in SSC 0200. Spring Leadership Lunches have historically been Tuesdays at 12:30pm, though that time is subject to change to do availability. If you would like to request a presenter or topic for the Spring 2020 schedule, contact Leadership Programs Graduate Assistant, Brigid Aslin.

RoundTables

RoundTables are student-facilitated, discussion-based opportunities for students to connect with each other on specific topics. RoundTables are offered monthly and at large-scale leadership events like SOLO and the Collegiate Leadership Summit. If you would like to recommend a topic for the Spring 2020 schedule, please contact SLC's Education Chair, Hannah Queen.

Leadership Evening Programs

Occasionally, the Kimmel Student Involvement Center will offer workshops during evening hours to accommodate different student schedules and topic interests. Currently, there are no scheduled evening programs for the 2019-2020 academic year. If you have any suggestions for evening programs, please contact Leadership Programs Graduate Assistant, Brigid Aslin.
