General Assistantship (1943-2024)

Qualifications

 •Experience, interest, and proficiency in social media content creation and distribution

• Preferred experience with Canva, EventBrite and Hootsuite

• Experience and proficiency with Microsoft word and excel. Additional experience with data input and management with a CRM is valued.

• Experience coordinating and marketing events.

• Organized, self-motivated, able to anticipate the needs of the department/event

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Comfortable/confidence answering phones and meeting guests

• Ability to work occasional long days, select evenings, and some weekends. All while staying within the agreed upon hours per week.

Position Description

 o Assist in event planning, preparation, and management

o Generating and maintaining online registration pages

o Creating and maintaining registration lists

o Preparing and restocking event materials

o Helping with online registration needs

o Assisting at events as schedules allow

o Assist in event promotions using social media

o Helping with overall social engagement strategies

o Developing social graphics and content

o Scheduling social posts for multiple platforms using Hootsuite

o Work in all Foundation databases and event management systems

o Assisting with the collection of information from alumni for notes and alumni stories and other data entry

o Maintaining event records and recording attendance of registrants

Other Duties:

o Making website updates as needed

o Answering Alumni and Foundation phone lines

o Managing alumni email correspondence

o Helping with mailings

o Other duties as needed
