Civil Engineering

Over the past year, the SIUE Inastitute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Student Chapter has been actively involved in both on-campus and off-campus outreach activities. The Chapter has invited transportation professionals to campus to share their experiences and insights, broaden our students' understanding of the latest trends and developments in the transportation field. In an effort to promote diversity, the Chapter made a effort to invite more female and minority transportation professionals. These guest lectures have not only enhanced interest among our students but have also served as an inspiration to our female and minority engineering students.   The chapter members have been enthusiastically involved in local and regional ITE meetings and conferences, and have actively participated in student activities and competitions organized by ITE. Due to these activities, the SIUE ITE Student Chapter has been  awarded this year’s MOVITE Student Chapter Momentum Award. Representing the chapter, President Suprapti Gautam attended the award ceremony on April 18, 2024, during the 2024 MOVITE Conference.
