SIUE’s David Sherrill Supports Region’s Surveyors

David. J. Sherrill, PLS, Land Surveying Program Coordinator and Instructor at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, presented at the 64th Annual Meeting and Conference of the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors at Osage Beach, Missouri in October 2021. The Association has over 800 members from Missouri and surrounding States. Sherrill PLS/Instructor at SIUE, presented in two sessions, “Standards of Professional Conduct, State of Illinois”, Section 1270.57 ILCS, and “Ethics in Review for Professional Land Surveyors”. These sessions reviewed various scenarios often encountered in surveying practice, the role of Professional Land Surveyors in those scenarios, and the disciplinary actions of failing to meet these standards. The sessions were well-attended and rated highly.
Sherrill also hosted a booth in the Exhibit Hall with information on the SIUE School of Engineering, focusing on Civil Engineering and the Construction Management because of their relation to the Land Surveying Program at SIUE.
