SIUE Hosts Admitted Student Day, April 5
Admitted first-year and transfer students are invited to experience SIUE through a series of events on Admitted Student Day from 8:30 a.m.- 2 p.m., Friday, April 5 on SIUE campus.
“Admitted Student Day is a great time for students who have been admitted to the university but haven’t made their final college decision to get a feel for student life and the classroom experience at SIUE,” said Alicia Taylor, Assistant Director of Admissions for Campus Visits. “Our admitted students have lots of options when it comes to colleges this fall, so Admitted Student Day is a time to celebrate their admission to SIUE and reassure them that this is the place for them.”
“Admitted students will learn more about the steps they need to take to become a student at SIUE. They will learn more about financial aid and the cost of attendance. In addition to this, they will have the opportunity to talk to different campus resources to learn about things like dining, ITS, parking, and more,” Taylor added.
“Students will also be able to attend a classroom experience while their guests learn more about how the University supports its students.”
The day culminates with a student involvement fair in Stratton Quad accompanied by food trucks, campus and housing tours, Honors sessions, and tours of Lovejoy Library.
“They will also get to participate in one of our great SIUE traditions—painting THE rock!,” said Taylor.
Registration is at capacity for this event.
