Junior Cougars Programming at SIUE
Online Services and Educational Outreach is excited to bring a new set of programming to the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville campus focused on junior cougars. The new set of programming is for participants under the age of 18 and allows children to participate in offerings year-round instead of just for the summer camp season.
“This new programming was created to allow our area children to explore new ideas in various fields that they may not have been able to explore before and find new career paths to pursue,” says Leslie Brock, assistant director of Non-Credit Programs.
Programming includes topics around Economics and Finance, STEAM, Anthropology and Archaeology, Geography, Theatre, Culinary, Artificial Intelligence and even 3D printing and robotics for those in middle and high school.
A few sessions will be geared towards parents as well, focusing on planning for college and the dangers of teen sexting.
All offerings will be available for students to attend when they are out of school, which include evenings, weekends or days off. Most offerings will be hosted on campus in various locations, giving participants the opportunity to meet the campus staff and explore SIUE.
Visit the catalogue of offerings at this link and register your junior cougar. We hope to see you this spring!
